All Living Things Die:

The ultimate gift is life, and the ultimate price is death. Some people may see it another way, but in the end it all boils down to the statement above.

I’ve finally come back from my several week vacation to Hawaii. When I came back, I had realized something—“Why push myself to blog/post/inform about a game that is too far from life, and too close to death?” I had arrived at the conclusion that I will give up Endless-online for my 18^th birthday. In approximately three months (or earlier), I’ll stop logging onto Endless-online. (Yes, I’ll be keeping everything I own so do not ask.)

For now, I’m going to retire Endless Economy and Gossip©. Once again, all living things die, and this blog once lived. So did Endless-online at one point.

Some major disappointments that contributed to my quitting this game are listed below:

- Unstoppable spammer d/cers.

- Lack of purpose.

- Lack of moderation/administrational visits.

- Dull game play.

- Unbelievably easy to hack, scam, and cheat.

With something as pointless as Endless-online, I think I’ll choose to walk away.

Huge disappointment:

As you have probably noticed, some of the other major Eo blogs have already “slowed” and the owners of some of them have even quit. Can you really blame them?

If Endless Economy and Gossip© was your main source for economic, social, and other Endless-online related issues I’d like to apologize. I’ll refer you to endlessreport.blogspot.com for the social/etc. issues and I really don’t know what to tell you about pricing news because global is now unreliable and so are the banks (thanks to the spammer d/cers).

How I predict Endless-online will die:

With this issue at hand Endless-online will most likely fall due to major problems in the economy which will probably cause mass amounts of players to quit at one time. Then, seeing as the game is empty, more players would come back and another “apocalyptic-event” would probably occur. Something like “Massive amounts of players hacked” as an Endless-online newspaper headline. Either way, I don’t want to be apart of it so I’m quitting now.

When I really think about it, I can’t deny the fact that I actually had fun. This was bound to happen sooner or later so I’m not going to fight what was destined to happen.

There won’t be a next time.

Hackers, we’re doing exactly what they want; making posts about them. Complaining, arguing, hating… and even doing the same as they do. Yes, I’m talking about the spammer d/cers. Look, admit it, no matter how “unforgiving” it was; you know you’ve made a mistake before. Whether it has been in real life or on Endless-online. As mentioned in the post before this one: We are all human, and sometimes, that’s all we have to keep in the back of our minds to keep us sane.

Unfortunately for some of us, we have no choice, but to have sympathy for them. As foolish as it seems, watching others make mistakes can be beneficial to you, yourself. Just watch… don’t learn, because you’ve already learned. That’s why you’re watching them yourself.

If this sounds confusing, or is even making you frustrated; don’t worry. It’s doing the same to me as I type it.

Just remember, just remember, just remember it isn’t hard. It’s actually fairly simple.

Be sympathetic.

It makes Endless-online a better place.

In relation to Endless-online, whenever someone gets the opportunity to make an extra bit of gold, they’ll definitely take it. In this case, whenever someone gets the chance to “STEAL YOUR ACCOUNT” it is going to happen.

Me? Yeah, I’m human. Human first, Eo citizen second. This is the mind set of a human being. Truthfully, if you’re reading this; you’re a human. Now, below, I’ll state THE TRUTH BEHIND HACKING.

Ok, many people often tell their friends that they got hacked. Here, is their first mistake.

Consider this:

- If they got hacked, how are they on their account, when it supposedly got hacked, and as we all know, a smart hacker CHANGES THE PASSWORD OF THE ACCOUNT HE/SHE HACKED SO THAT IT WILL BE EASIER TO TAKE THE ITEMS, AND SELL THE ACCOUNT FOR ADDITIONAL CASH.

If you have come across someone, a “friend” in this case, who has gotten hacked, tell them, “If wishes were horses beggars might ride.” Hopefully, they’ll understand.

If you still don’t get it, basically, I’m trying to keep you from getting scammed out of your items. It’s obviously a lie that your “friend” is telling you, and you shouldn’t be tricked into “helping” your “friend” by giving him/her an extra item or two to get back on their feet.

No one is your friend; everyone is out to get you.

Don’t believe me? What you have is “too special” to be traded for an extra scav or two? Think again…think again.

If you are fortunate enough to acquire a gift from someone, and is still unhappy, it’s safer to be this way, than to get what you really wanted by destroying anything in your path that prevents your “happiness.”

In this quote’s translation, the gift is profit from confusion in the economy, and regardless; the part that discusses destroying anything in your path is what the casual class does to the economy in this confusion.

“Omg,” still confused? Ok, every new version, there’s HUGE confusion in the economy. This is how the prices of items are created. In this confusion, it is very much possible to make over 3 million gold in 8 hours. From the evil art of merchanting, anything seems to be possible if given the right circumstances. Sure, this may be the best known method for making Endless-online gold, but is it really ethical?

Think about it, you’re practically “stealing” from the fellow Eo citizen you bought/sold that item to. They were unaware of what was going on. Instead of keeping this in mind, the average Eo player would probably just say, with much confidence in mind, “Like taking candy from a baby.” As cliché as that sounds, you know it’s true, you know this is exactly what you think/say when you walk/scroll out of that bank 100k gold richer.

On the other hand, is this classified under the “logical appeal?” Is it just another matter of survival? “Eat or be eaten,” as the average e-caveman would say? Well, in order to answer this question, we must first distinguish whether we are e-cavemen, or Eo citizens. The logical appeal would be to just “scam/merchant/w/e you call it” and walk away happily. Where is karma in all of this? The ethical appeal is mentioned in the paragraph above this one, so take a look there if you’re unsure about what it is. This appeal would be the one to side with if you think of yourself as an Eo citizen and not an e-caveman. So, ask yourself aloud, “Am I an Eo citizen, or an e-caveman.” Or, if you don’t want to scare anyone that might be in the same room with you at this moment in time, you could just vote on the poll I’ll include with this post. “Are you an Eo citizen, or an e-caveman?”

- E-caveman = Someone that does something for their own benefit. “Eat or be eaten.”

- Eo citizen = Someone that does something with other people’s wishes in mind; the “ideal” Endless-online player.

Heard anyone of these terms recently? If you have, then you MUST be playing Endless-online. What’s that? Huh? You are? Lucky guess I suppose.

As much as you want to, “throw your keyboard out of the window,” or “bang your head on the computer screen,” we all have to remember. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Sure, there’s been a “butt-load” of complaining going around these days, but it’s all for a reason. We’re making our issue known. We’re giving the problem a name.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Ok, if you “fight fire with fire,” then you’re only going to lose an eye (lol). If some guy gets mad at you because you (or he/she in some cases) does something wrong; don’t get into a full-on argument. Swallow your pride, and do whatever it takes to resolve the issue. Believe it or not; every small fight that we get into on this online-game contributes to the overall problem. We can’t expect to get anywhere just bickering with each other all the time. “Be the bigger ‘man,’ accept defeat, and move on (even if you can swear that your way, is the right way)."

I was trying to make another Kara-Komic in what seemed to be a desolate area, when I looked at the chat, I saw two people arguing. It was a rather “dumb” argument that went a bit like this.

Person 1: “Move, newb I’m trying to train.”

Person 2: “Stfu loser, I was here first.”

Person 1: “I don’t see your name on it nub.”

Person 2: “I own this area go !@#$ yourself.”

Ok, dumb right? This sounds like two e-cavemen arguing over territory. Sad eh? This is probably what you sound like in most of your arguments too, no matter how many big words you use.

As the main problem begins to unfold, everyone seems to be guilty. Me, you, the game-makers…everyone. As much as you’d like to; don’t point the finger and don’t throw fire, or you could “accidently” put someone’s eye out. It’ll just end up in you losing an eye as well.

They always say, “Running is not an option,” but in the case of Endless-online…

Endless-online has been full of drama, stress, and violence, and it’s only getting worse. Many citizens are being pushed to their limits due to the idiotic actions of the spammer d/cers. Everyone is “on-end.”

If you ask me, I think we all need a nice long break to clear our heads, and give the Administrators a chance to fix the spamming problems, if they can.

Below, I’ll post some “Kara-approved” MMORPGs that you could start playing if you decide to temporarily leave Endless-online.

I got together with a few Eo players and discussed the status this game is currently in. We’ve concluded that too many people are messing with the game’s “internal-components” and these “hackers” aren’t taking the game seriously. This is a huge problem and if it keeps up, someone is definitely going to get hurt. In order to avoid further pain, I suggest taking a break, but that’s just me.

Go out and do whatever feels right, in the end, it’ll all end the same way.

Advice:

Climbing the Economic/Social Ladder; Kara-style:

I’ve finally decided to share my methods with the rest of you. Below, I’ll teach you how to achieve the casual social status. I’ll include: examples, proof, and step-by-step processes on how to get where you want to be, Kara-style.

If you’ve read the vast majority of posts on this website, you should be familiar with economic/social classes on Eo. Achieving these social classes might require you to perform some unforgiving, tedious, and necessary tasks. Keep this saying in mind, “It ain’t easy gettin’ to the top.”

The three steps to casual social status; Kara-style:

Friends = Power:

“Birds of feather flock together.”

Make a lot of friends. No matter what happens, you HAVE to make yourself known. There are benefits to being known. In some cases you’ll get a sense of respect from other players and the economy itself. Do not forget, respect = power. If you take the time to befriend enough upper-class players it will definitely help you get where you’re trying to be. “Birds of feather flock together.”

Dedication:

“Patience is a virtue.” / “Good things come to those who wait.”

It’s safe to say that you won’t get famous over night. It takes time, and effort. You have to stick to your goal and never, ever give up. Many things are going to happen along the way. You’ll get scammed, cheated, and lied to. This has driven hundreds of players to quit this game. Don’t be one of them. “Good things come to those who wait.”

Opportunities:

“A penny saved, is a penny earned.”

You will have tens upon hundreds of chances to get rich. Most likely, none of these opportunities will make you instantly rich. Sure, you’ve heard of many people “winning events” or “finding ‘Scav bows’ on the ground.” 99% of the time, these people are making up a lie to cover up the fact that they hacked and/or stole that money. Don’t believe everything you hear/see, and don’t be wasteful with your cash. “A penny saved, is a penny earned.”

These are the 3 rules/quotes/whatever you want to call them that got me to where I am today. I may not be rich compared to another player, but I am of the casual class, and I do have a say on what happens in the economy. This social status represents power, and you have to be prepared to do some amazing things to achieve this power. All I can say is that it’s worth it.

Keep in mind, I am not suggesting that you abuse Endless-online so much that you neglect your real life in the process. That’s just ridiculous and you should never consider doing something as foolish as that to yourself. Sometimes, you should just give the game a break, no matter how close you are to leveling (inside joke).

Below, I’ll include a list of rumored (hence, the word gossip, in the title of my website) events that happened when a human abused an MMORPG.

(Forgot which site I got this from, and no I didn’t make these up. Here it is anyway.)

Over the last few years, there’s been an amazing run of deaths and psychotic episodes directly related to gaming, be it from marathon sessions or from people becoming way too involved in their virtual lives. A few examples are shown below:

Date unknown - a South Korean grammar scholar killed his brother with a hammer for interrupting his game.
Date unknown - a 21-year old American college student played EverQuest for 36 hours straight, before having a psychotic break and hallucinating that the characters had stepped out of the screen and were chasing him.
November 2001 - a 21-year old American man shot himself on Thanksgiving morning, and his family blames his addiction to EverQuest, which he was still playing just minutes before killing himself.
May 2002 - a 17-year old Hong Kong gaming center employee died after playing Diablo II all night.
Jan 2003 - a 28-year old Hong Kong gamer died at his screen in an internet cafe, after playing Diablo II all night.
March 2004 - a 31-year old Chinese man died at his screen in an internet cafe, after a 20-hour Saga marathon.
Dec 2004 - a 13-year old Chinese boy jumped from the roof of his 24-story building. His suicide note claims that he has gone to join the heroes of his favorite game, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans.
June 2005 - a chinese gamer was sentenced to life in prison after stabbing a fellow gamer to death. The victim had borrowed a sword from the gamer in the online game Legend of Mir 3, and had then sold it.
August 2005 - a 28-year old South Korean man collapsed after playing Starcraft for 50 hours straight, and died shortly after being taken to hospital.

Well, there you go. Now you have some very descriptive reasons of why you shouldn’t abuse games (no matter what type they may be).

Also, I took the time to ask a few players around Eo if they thought they abused the game. Here’s the results and what two of them said.

19 out of the 20 said yes. (95%)

1 out of the 20 said no. (5%)

One of the 95% said, “In all honesty, I do think I abuse Endless-online. I play this game way too much and I think I’d probably even cry if my account got hacked. I take out my anger and frustration out on this game. Without it, I don’t know what I’d do.”

The 5% said, “Nah, I don’t take this game seriously at all. It means nothing to me. I just have a lot of leisure time, that’s all.”

There you have it; straight from the horse’s mouth.

Sustained Suffering:

It is not only the victim that suffers most, but those who are least involved as well. We have to keep this in mind as we destroy this world with our thoughts/actions of evil intent. Destruction is inevitable.

Already, you were able to state your opinion on whose fault it was/will be for the destruction of Endless-online. Whoever you voted for is responsible for your suffering in your own mind. This goes for any person with an opinion that takes the time to make it known.

Now that we’ve established whose fault it may be (in your own opinion) it’s time to determine who suffers most (in terms of social class.)

Recap/overview of classes (again):

Newb class:

Mainly people below the level of 15; must have achieved certain amount of wealth.

Statwhore class:

Often wearing stat enhancing items. Often level 15+. They support the economy almost as much as the casual class by buying mainly expensive and rare items.

Casual class:

The main class in charge of the economy. They control whether it is flourishing or diminishing. Often not as high a level as the statwhore class. They are extremely rich, and display they’re social status with their equipment.

Olbie class:

Basically the ancestors of Eo. They lay the foundation of what Eo is today and many of them have titles. Eventually if we keep playing Eo, we’ll be like these players. They’re also on the verge of quitting.

Now, I’ll give common reasons why most people consider the following classes to be responsible for their suffering.

Why the newb class might be suffering the most:

They are similar to a small child in terms of intelligence on Eo. Whatever they see is the state of mind they will assume toward other players on Eo. For instance, if someone speeds past a newb at 256 mph (lol) they’ll definitely say, “cool” and attempt to do it themselves NOT KNOWING it’s against the rules. Sad isn’t it? This is why the newb class could be suffering the most.

Why the statwhore class might be suffering the most:

The only intent the statwhore class on Eo has is to train, IN PEACE. They don’t want any spam/dc crap to ruin they’re routine. If they aren’t able to train in peace, most likely, they won’t train at all and this means we’ll have less-powerful people on Eo, and we can rely on seeing a decrease in ultra-rare items that take a strong person to obtain. Like a Scav Bow for example. Ancient Wraiths are difficult to kill, and if we don’t have strong players to kill them, we won’t have Scav Bows. This is why the statwhore class could be suffering the most.

Why the casual class might be suffering the most:

Here’s a fact. If the other class characters are unhappy, the casual class will have to pay for it because they rely on the other classes to do their part. Unknowingly, the other classes have the power to change the economy and the society. They just can’t get together long enough to formulate a plan. “There’s too many ‘young children’ on this game to bring it back from what it’s going through.” --- Dazzzed. Bottom line, the more “unfortunate” the other classes are =’s how poor the casual class will be in that state of time. This is why the casual class might be suffering the most.

Why the olbie class might be suffering the most:

All this can do is make them quick faster, and if this happens there won’t be anyone here to leave a small streak of light in this dark realm of suffering. The olbie class is the only class who knows what Eo was like before it’s Golden Age ended. All they have to do is continue to pass on their teachings and there might actually be some hope.

Well, you’ve just read who some of your peers think are responsible for the suffering of many Eo citizens. All you have to do now is tell us what you think. Be sure to vote on the polls and express your opinion.

The Newest Threat to the Endless-online Society and Economy:

Another rock on the road to defeat.

The end is now a well known fact. I’m sure you are all aware of those spammers that keep disconnecting people, well, I am, and I’m sick of it. This will be one of the only post where you will witness my infuriated opinion on the topic at hand.

It angers me to click on the global chat button and disconnect immediately. Whether I’m advertising the site, buying, or selling things; this is interfering with my personal Eo life, the economy, and society as we know it. Supposedly, Vult-r is fixing this crap, but I’ve yet to see any progress from him. I can’t progress in this game if all the major economic-areas are populated with disconnecting-spammers whose only desire is to PISS YOU OFF.

I heard that they’re supposed to be doing this as some sort of protest against, cheaters/scammers/hackers, but apparently that’s not working. It’s just making everything worse than it already is. If you want to protest, make a blog for god’s sake, or anything that will actually benefit the economy/society of Endless-online.

On the other hand, I also heard that they’re doing this to just speed up the destruction of Endless-online. If this is the case, so be it. It’s not like we can fight back anyway. Personally, I’ve already lost/given up the fight. I’m out numbered and no matter how many people know my opinion or read my blog will make a difference. It’s very depressing to see such a good thing go to waste.

Even the most innocent of us are suffering and even though it may be true that any major breakthrough has never been accomplished without violence; my response is that there’s a first time for everything. I’ll come out and say it: Don’t be like me. Don’t give up too easily, and “don’t go with the flow.” --- Karagu If you do, then you’ll “bleed like the rest.” --- Karagu.

I’m aware that I have gone against the very reason why I created this blog, which was to voice your opinion, but as we all know, I have an opinion as well and I feel that it is absolutely necessary that I make it known in this case; especially, since I am one of most people that are influenced by this issue.

The “people’s” thoughts are the same. We all hate the spamming and it’s not getting us anywhere. I asked 23 people if any of them supported the spamming and every last one of them said “no.” This is the first poll with a straight-forward clear answer. “No, we don’t support the spamming, and we are counting on someone to fix it.”--- Non-spam supporter.

Also, while I was on global, I saw average citizens mocking the spammers by spamming as well! I don’t know if they were trying to be funny, but it’s not. It’s a waste of time, energy, and an annoyance to look at. ESPECIALLY, if you are one of the people that need the global chat for things other than casual-chatting.

Come on now people, do something productive with your time. As ironic as that sounds, seriously, don’t take it out on them/us.

Yeah, I know your scenario, I’ve been through it. I just turned 17. What? No one knows what you’re going through? No one understands you? It was just a harmless joke?

Whichever line may be your favorite, do us a favor.

- This could stop selling/buying things all together because they disconnect people in banks, aeven square, and the global chatlog. These are all major selling areas, and without them this could cause “product failure” and a decrease in selling/buying items.

- This could cause many casual class people to quit. If they are dominated economically by the spamming they could lose a fortune; especially, if the reason above were to happen. To be honest, this would affect me greatly as well.

The Renovation Factor:

Converting from one place to another convinces us to believe that you were uncomfortable in your previous position. If so, is running the solution? Is this why previous and post positions were created for in the first place? To run to?

The main server: a lot of unfortunate things happen to befall most of the citizens here. When angry, they are most likely to harass other players, take out they’re anger by cheating, or just leave to the test server.

Statistics show that every 8 out of 10 people that have left the main server went to test server. The other 2 quit the game. Then, 5 out of the 8 people that left to the test server quit the game after a period of 3-5 months. Is this because the test server is too serene? Or is it just because they grew out of/forced to quit the game? Meanwhile, the other 3 people kept playing and still are as I type this post. If it helps to answer your question, the ages of the people I surveyed were from age 15-17. Good enough?

The reason for my late post is because I took my time gathering information this time. The holidays are coming and I had other things in mind. I focused on school, watched anime, and prepared my stomach for the vast amount of turkey it will consume.

Back to the subject, are you one of the 8 people that would leave the main server after being extremely misfortune? For example, being hacked; would you leave after having this happen to you? According to my results, just about 80% of you would. Do you run from your problems? “The 80% mentioned here are sheer cowards, Karagu.” --- Shinigaeyes; a quote by one of my close friends about this post. To me, your opinion matters and this is the very reason I post some of the things you tell me. I appreciate everything you have to say. I believe this is what makes a successful correspondent whose duty is to decode the complex mind of an Eo citizen to a well-uniform website – completely bias-free.

If you would ever like to become a successful correspondent I suggest you keep this in mind. It’s a vital talent.

The Renovation Factor can be relevant to the innovation of the main server. Like any other innovation, helping the server can also lead to the decline of the main server. The Eo citizens have to be careful of which route they decide to take because whichever they choose surly decides the fate of Endless-online. If they continue to contaminate the main server, and then join the test server it would all end the same (excluding the victims). Trust me, if an apocalyptic event were to happen on the main server, the test server won’t become a revitalization ground because it’d just transform back into a complete replica of the main server.

This is the main reason why you shouldn’t run from change. Take matters into your own hands and try to fix what’s happening. This defeats the purpose of trying to save it in the first place.

For those confused:

- The problem with the main server is that there is too many cheaters/etc. and the community/economy is lacking serene.

- The test server has much of where the serene of the main server has gone. Citizens have realized this and have decided to join the test server for the remaining time it will be serene (golden age – time of greatness, peace, and stillness).

- However, if the citizens join the test server in the main server’s current state. It will end up just like the main server.

Questions:

- Will the main server invoke the golden age as the test server enters the current state of the main server? Is so, what will happen to it? Is this a never ending cycle? Should we ignore it? Are we taking this game too seriously?

- Will the constant onslaught of players entering this game cause both servers to decline? Will this lead to a third server?

- Main question: What will happen to Endless-online? In case something major happens, in order to increase our safety, should we just temporarily quit now?

Keep all of these things in mind as you play this game; if you don’t you’ll just aid to the destruction of this game.

Every human possess the ability to bring about change, whether it’s for good or for bad is up to the human wielding the power to decide. Apparently, on this online game we have too many people using that power for bad. Tainted humans are fated to reside in a tainted world. This is unavoidable, and if you live in this world (which you do) you will suffer as well. Consider others as you perform your rash self-seeking actions.

Who’s to blame? The creator or the player?:

Often, the one who inhabits a world doesn’t think it’s their fault the world is on the way to destruction. Some think it’s the creators fault, and others think the one who inhabit it is to blame. Who’s to say that destiny isn’t running its course? The only way to tell is to wait and see.

“It’s all the administrator’s fault for poorly moderating the game.” --- Supporter of the citizens. “It’s all the citizen’s fault for turning the game into what it is now.” --- Supporter of the administrator. I’ve been hearing this a lot lately and I thought I’d take the chance to make a post about it.

First off, Happy Thanksgiving (to all who celebrate it). This is the reason for my late post.

Who is to blame? Or, is there even anyone to blame? Is it our fault, or their fault? Let’s see.

I decided to ask 10 people who’s fault they thought it was. Coincidently 5 of the 10 were on different sides. 5 believed that it was the administrators’ fault and 5 thought it was the citizens’ fault. I know what you’re thinking. What are we blaming people for? Well, we’re blaming people for what the game has turned into, and why it’s embracing the future change it is sure to undergo. It’s safe to say that the Endless-online world is in fact declining. Ask any olbie or casual class member; they’ll all agree. The only person that wouldn’t agree, would be the person that’s financially and socially satisfied. Obviously, that person wouldn’t have experienced a major downfall, like all the people that had Baru when it was 1mill and went down to a mere 300k.

Why the administrators should be blamed (according to a citizen supporter):

- The administrators don’t care about the game, and all they ever do is jail people they have grudges against.
- They never log on and when they do, refer to the above reason. It’s all they ever do.
- They never have events anymore and they allow citizens to create rumors about what’s going to happen. For example: Doctor outfits and nurse outfits are going to be dropped at Christmas. Citizens have started this rumor, and they’ll be disappointed if it doesn’t happen, even though they know it won’t.
- They don’t jail people that actually need to be jailed. Like hackers and scammers.

Why the citizens should be blamed (according to an administrator supporter):

- The citizens only hack, cheat, and scam. Then, they blame the administrators for not jailing them.
- The administrators created the game cheat, hack, and scam-free. It was the citizens that brought this into the Endless-online world.
- The administrators don’t do events anymore because the citizens don’t deserve it! Who rewards someone for cheating, scamming, and hacking?
- It’s impossible for them to decide who hacks and scams unless they encounter that person first-hand.

These are some of the views that were brought up when I spoke to these people. It’s up to you to decide who’s fault it is based on your own ideals. It might not be anyone’s fault at all. It might be destiny that Endless-online is on the road to destruction. Who knows? All we can do is wait and see.

A Contrast of Serenity

A Contrast of Serenity:

The one who performs the crime suffers just as much as the victim. Self-conscious of the crime at hand, brings shame to the victim and the performed. An excuse: The Ends Justify the Means, is used.

The future brings hopes of serenity to mind. However, this is an entirely different world. This is the remake of the commonly deemed failure we see today. Why do we stay in this world you ask? Simple, to keep the serene world serene.

The world mentioned above is indeed the test server. “The perfect remake of Endless-online’s main server.” --- Painisluv. I had an I.P. ban for 120 minutes on the main server and decided to do something useful with my time. I joined the test server, and I was certainly amazed. The good thing was that there were virtually no people online. The economy was great and so was the community; however, there was one bad side to this. Every 8 out of 10 people were super speeding, and this is no exaggeration. In my 2 hours of playing, at least 45 people flew past me at the speed of +256. This is because there is very little (or none) moderation on this server. Ironic how a lack of moderation can lead to a more serene server. Don’t ask me.

I decided to get my test account started in case the main server had me down again. It’s always handy to have a place to run to when somewhere else is “pissing you off.”

It was fun being apart of the newb class again. It allows you to release some stress, and since there’s fewer people on this server that means there’s fewer people to call you a newb (common logic).

Most people on the main server hope for it to become the next test server, but unfortunately there’s a very small chance that’s going to happen. The only way something that big could happen is if Endless-online turned into a P2P (Pay to Play) game, which isn’t likely. Until this well needed “miracle” happens, we’re all going to have to continue to get irritated and challenge each other to Pk in the meantime. Instead of suggesting Pk I would propose going to the test server, but that’d just be helping the test server turn into another main server, and we really wouldn’t want that.

There are a few rumors going around in the main server about the test server. I’ll just post them and allow you to be the judge of if they’re valid or not.

Test server rumors (as heard on main server):

- Test server is illegal.

- Test server is easier to hack.

- Test server isn’t moderated.

- Test server will reach v29 before main server does.

- Test server will receive the new jail before main server does.

- Test server will eventually be deleted by Vult-r because it is illegal.

- Test server is vulnerable to duplication of gold.

These are all commonly heard rumors on main server about test server. True or false? You decide. I’ll add a poll asking whether or not you think test server is better than the main server. Think long before making your decision because there’s a lot to consider.

Also, some of the Eo citizens believe that the test server is more economically-stable, which doesn’t necessarily mean its better, than the main server. Since the prices are lower than those of the main server does this give us the right to deem the test server more economically-stable? If so how long will this last? Has the test server reached the second golden age? For the first time in endlesseconomy.blogspot.com history I’ll include two polls representing one post and a new kara-komic. Be sure to vote on whether or not you think the test server is more economically-stable than the main server.

An Unreliable Global Ruled by Attention-whores:

I look at global for a few seconds to see what was going on economic-wise. Unfortunately my eyes were blinded by insignificant and excessive chatting that would be better off pm’ed to a friend. Global has been taken over and transformed into a world ruled by attention-whores; with hopes of gaining renown…the wrong way.

What is an attention-whore?:

(Example)

Attention-whore: -on global- WHO HERE LIKES PORN? (Often saying something random and stupid.)

People in favor of attention-whores: ME ME ME!

People not in favor of attention-whores: Dude, stfu.

People become attention-whores because they think that if they say something stupid, it’ll bring attention to themselves and bring meaning to their name. There are many ways an attention-whore can crave for attention. Some say random stupid things. Others pick fights, and most show love to everything that walks, e.g. <333>

Most people don’t really like attention-whores. “They are a waste of space on the global chat log,” --- nooooodles. Who can blame them though? Instead of doing something useful like making a blog focused on Endless-online Economics, they rather spam global instead. That’s part of the reason I made this site. If you can’t find economic info in common places where there should be economic info; like the bank, or global itself, then you always have endlesseconomy.blogspot.com right?

Are you an attention-whore?:

Well, do you frequently post “crap” on global? Most people do, to be honest. Everyone likes to be known right?

Here comes the fun part. I asked 10 people if they considered themselves an attention-whore BEFORE I told them the “symptoms” of attention-whore-ism.

9 said yes.

1 said no.

That pretty much sums it up, in all of Eo, according to this “in-field” poll; 90% of people considered themselves to be an attention-whore.

In my opinion, do something useful, instead of wasting time posting spam, picking fights, or <3333>

The Domino Effect: Price wise

The Domino Effect: Price-wise

Believe it on not there’s yet another phenomenon that could lead to the inevitable economic down-fall of Endless-Online. It’s called The Domino Effect. I’ve collected some data and made quite a few inferences of how it will/would happen. I’ve even included an example. Below is the result of the data I collected.

What is the Domino Effect?:

Similar to how when a domino falls on another, each domino affects another. If it wasn’t for the “pushing-motion” caused by the domino behind any other domino; no domino would be able to fall.

How is this related to Eo prices?:

Think of it like this, if the cost of ingredients to make an expensive product go down, then obviously the expensive product’s price will go down as well. If the casual class isn’t controlling the price of smaller items, which make up larger items then who is? Whoever is controlling these items clearly control larger items and if there are more expensive-ingredient-based items like oron, than originally-expensive-items like saw swords then the people in control of the ingredient-based-items control the economy. If a more responsible class like “Eo-democrats” were to take over the ingredient-based-items then I’m sure the economy wouldn’t fall (or would be delayed). We have three choices. 1, take action, 2, let the “Eo-republicans” remain in control, or 3 stop playing Endless-Online.

Whichever choice you decide to make will definitely affect you in the long run, for better or for worse. I’ll add a poll asking what you think of the Domino Effect.

For those confused…

Clear example:

Items that are ingredient-based like oron and frost/fire arrows’ prices are controlled by the cost of the ingredients to make them. If ice cubes cost 3k and it takes 42 ice cubes to make frost arrows then the price of frost arrows will range from 125k-130k.

Items that are originally-expensive like saw swords, and draco/dracota don’t need ingredients to make them. The price of these items are based on rarity, and how many there are in Eo. The price eventually decreases over time, or from outside forces (massive junking).

If there are more ingredient-based-items instead of originally-expensive-items, then there is still a chance to save the economy. If a more responsible class emerges and takes control of the ingredient-based-items then they would control originally-expensive-items and the casual class would be helpless. There’s still hope. Rexor < Paperclip --- Rumor

Rumor has it that the newest employee to the Endless-Online Administrator list has been hacked.

Background on Paperclip:

One of the worst (meant as a compliment) hackers on this god-forsaken game. A “legend” in brute-forcing; he’s said to have the ability to hack any account on Endless-Online. I even heard that he doesn’t even need your account username to steal (brute-force) your account. To sum it up in two words, “Beware Paperclip.”

Strange, how an Administrator would allow their account (in a game they designed) to be hacked. This is one of the reasons this rumor is still unverified. I’ll have to admit; even I thought they were “hack-proof.”

Why they have reason to think Rexor was hacked:

I don’t blame the Eo citizens for thinking he was hacked, here’s the proof.

Administrator behavior, or Paperclip in disguise? You decide. As far as I know, “up is down in this twisted virtual hell.” --- Karagu Will these rumors ever cease? I’ll add a poll on your view of whether or not Rexor was hacked by Paperclip. “If this rumor is true, paperclip might as well stay as Rexor, because he’s doing a hell of a job.” --- Lstonestanding.

WHERE ARE ALL THE MONSTERS?! AHHH!

Server Lag?

Today, we all just experienced server lag. Global was full of idiots screaming, “IT’S THE END OF THE WORLD!” It isn’t the end of the Eo world. Something similar to d/cing while walking around Eo just occurred, that’s all. The server lags all the time, this time, it was just worse.

Possibilities:

- Due to the ill-managed server lag occurred. (best reason why)

- Admins are trying to add something to the server. (doubt)

- Day light savings?

- Hacked?

These are the only possibilities that have the slightest reason of being why. I’m leaning towards the ill-managed server reason.

Definitions:

Roll back: Similar to going back in time on a server, in attempts to “rolling-back” to a time where the server can actually be fixed.

Server Lag: Complication in the online server that we all play on. It’s designed to hold people and monsters, when lag happens you can experience delays.

In the end it all boils down to this question, is there a logical explanation? Or has the server run it’s life-span. We’ll all find out in the morning.

Two weeks ago the prices were sky high. Thanks to the stat whore class rebelling against the casual class's onslaught of price inflation, they managed to bring down necessary stat whore items. For example: The Scav Bow went BACK down to 1.3 mill because the stat whore class refused to buy for any higher. Congrats Stat whores, you win this round.

First off, I’d like to say, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I’ve been extremely busy lately, but I managed to gather some interesting info. I super-speeded for a week to see what’d happen. I super-speeded at every single boss, and here’s the result of the data I gathered.

There were at the most, 20 people, at each boss.

-An average of 4 out of every 20 people asked me to teach them. 20%

-An average of 10 out of every 20 people ignored me (probably because they were already used to it). 50%

-An average of 6 out of every 20 people called me a newb. 30%

This information clearly states 50% of Endless-Online’s citizens, “Don’t give a !@#$” --- quote by “speedblader,” about Eo. Is it true that 50% of Eo witness speeders well enough to just give up the fight against them? Have most of you lost faith in Vult-r, or even Endless-Online itself?

Do most of you understand what The Ends Justify the Means actually means now? This is an extremely valid quote that can be used to justify Social Life and Economic Life on Endless-Online. It means that even though you may have preferred to do something differently, in this case killing someone in Pk unfairly using super-speed, you think you had to do it because there was a specific end result that you wanted to achieve. The end result that the speeder wanted to achieve was to apparently kill someone in Pk. This is why we have so many “trouble-makers” on Endless-Online. They all convince themselves to think that it’s ok to super-speed/cheat. If the speeder in the example would have gotten jailed, then The Ends Did Not Justify the Means, for the speeder in this case; unless he wanted to get jailed.

Got it now? There’s a much deeper meaning to cheating on Endless-Online than we thought. Hope you enjoyed.

Volume I --- Your Future Is… Economic Failure?! ~ Endless Empire of Economic Eradication:

Being an economically challenged newb was hard enough; I didn’t really need other players’ criticism. I think I got the picture the first time I was called a “newb,” but apparently society wasn’t satisfied.

The story of the fallen empire known as, Endless-Online, starts in late v26. All prices were normal compared to what they are now. I don’t know if it’s because we’re afraid of change, or if it’s because we just can’t adjust to it, but it really didn’t matter to me. I killed goats, sheep, and occasionally orcs in peace. More people cherished 50g back then than hardly anyone in present day Endless. This foreshadowed crisis.

The Golden Age (Versions 20-26) was soon to come to a screeching halt, as do all successful empires. 99% of the population of Endless-Online were “evicted” the day versions 27 and 28 came out. They were all ignorant and only thought of the “here-and-now,” which was their first and foremost mistake. I personally think the casual class planned they’re take-over just as elaborately as it came.

The bigger Endless-Online got, the dumber we became. As we killed orcs, twin demons, and other monsters (an example), the casual class were the ones that bought the ingredients from us, and were smart enough to use our ingredients to craft a more expensive product and sell it back to us. The brain of Endless-Online is still developing at this moment and no one is sure what’s going to happen next, thus foreshadowing the rise of Endless-Online republicans (casual class). Is our future an Economic Failure?! What major event will eventually push us over the edge?

The unexpected was soon to come, yet the citizens of Endless-Online were as ignorant as ever. All they could do was Thrive in v27.

Working as brainlessly as ever, even I was under their control. I wasn’t apart of the casual class at the moment, so I wasn’t in on their “plan.” It seems to me that a more rebellious group of conspirators, whom happened to be apart of the casual class, didn’t want to go along with they’re “Casual Scheme.” Instead, they ever so “generously” (according to them) Eradicate Endless-Online’s Economy.

What was the name of these rebels you ask? How did they Eradicate Endless-Online’s Economy, and manage to end the Golden Age? Well, I like to call them DUPERS, and they ever so “generously” (once again – according to them…) ruined our Economy by dropping extremely large amounts of gold. They did this in hopes of gaining renown and to show everyone they were cheaters and that they could duplicate gold. The more gold there is; the more sellers (casual class) will sell things for, because they realize, “Why sell things for low when I know they have more money?” This is similar to merchanting, but on a much larger scale. The only way to return Endless-Online’s Economy to normal is to junk just under 15 million gold, but no one on this game cares enough to do such a thing. The only alternative way to fix Endless-Online is to roll-back the server to v27, fix the duplicating glitch, and add a better jail (while still in v27). Unfortunately, even the Administrators are unable to do that. It’s up to the citizens to fix this fallen empire. Even today, we await the rise of the Endless-Online democrats. We can no longer thrive in v27.

I suffer from the fumes of greed; I am no longer able to control my thoughts. You know what they say, “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.”

Mid v28, corrupted lives, endless jailing. Is there anyone that can save us? Unfortunately, I have joined their kind. I’m powerful, wealthy, and has acquired social status. I did whatever it took to get to the top. As time passes, it becomes more and more difficult to join my class. I am above all the speeders and cheaters, in fact, I control their actions. I will be there when the Rise of the casual class takes place.

Administrators are working on a way to tame us, and believe it or not, we cannot rule a fallen empire for much longer without curtailing the Endless-Online Apocalypse. I did it to save my reputation, but I destroyed my soul in the process.

Money, fame, and absolute power corrupt all who manage to obtain it.

I betrayed a dear friend in the process of gaining renown. I did it to avenge another friend, but one thing I forgot in the process was: “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” This is the very reason my rank is “Betrayed Avenger.” Although, once before, I too, was also betrayed; I still have my reasons for being an “Avenger.”

Money will never stop being an issue no matter how rich I become. So remember, as you sell me your ice cubes for a mere 9k each, I’ll craft them into a more expensive product and sell it to stat whores for 420k each making a huge profit. You’re under my control, point blank.

This version is identical to mid v27; nothing has changed in terms of economic destruction. I believe in the Endless-Online Economic Apocalypse. I’ve lost faith. The Administrators have something big planned for Endless-Online. I’m pretty sure it’s the new jail. This will probably have no effect whatsoever on this crazed hacker-infested world because the newb class will eventually adapt to their customs. They’ll cheat and join the casual class as, “Casual-Rebels,” and they’ll wreak havoc on Endless-Online yet again. This is the devastating result of the Rise of the casual class.

The Beginning of the End:

One major question asked, “Why is everything so expensive.” Well guess what, I have the answer, the real answer. There may be many sub-motives to the Endless-Online World-Wide Epidemic of Price Inflation (EOWWEPI), but they all seem to branch off of the single answer I found, while researching this subject. (This is similar to the real life thought of “New World Order.” In this case, the Casual Class is the republic, and there ARE no democrats.)

I think I’m going to do something fun for a change, instead of giving you straight percentages, facts, and in some cases fiction (rumors). I’m going to turn this subject, of where it all started, into a TRUE STORY featuring 3 volumes. The names are the volumes are included below:

Volume I --- Your Future Is… Economic Failure?!

Volume II --- Thrive in v27.

Volume III --- The Rise of the Casual Class.

If this is you, unfortunately you’ve just been evicted, and you failed to predict what the casual class is going to do next. It’s happened to the best of us, here’s how to avoid it.

-Always read global. Even though they say a lot of stupid, foolish, and immature things on the global chat log, it can be pretty helpful sometimes.

-Make visiting bank one a habit. Go there just to check up on prices. Notice: Bank one, not bank two, and definitely not Aeven Square. Bank two doesn’t have enough people in it, and Aeven Square is frequently filled with characters of the newb class attempting to make cash off of items the casual class and the stat whore class really don’t care about.

- Never keep a certain item for a specific amount of time. Patience is a virtue. For example, if you had a Saw Sword the day it came out, and you kept it for a month until it was 300k, then you decide you want to buy a Scav Bow, which is 1.5mil at the time, you just got evicted. This is the idea of predicting. If you know you want to buy an item that will cost less in a few weeks, don’t settle for a different item while you are attempting to buy the new item. Save your cash. I know what you’re wondering, this is awfully specific to be just an example; yes this did in fact happen to me and I’m not proud of it. I was aiming for the look of Frost Arrows, Baru, and a Scav Bow, but I failed to plan ahead and let my Saw Sword go down to 300k. I got evicted. Luckily, I managed to raise 1mil and I’m going to wait for the Scav Bow to go back down to 1mil. I won’t be evicted again. This is the sort of mentality most of you Eo citizens need to acquire. This kind of thinking will put you ahead or equal to the casual class in terms of thought.

Below, I’ve listed the newly changed prices of items below. It was originally going to be a separate post, but I felt it should be included in this one.

NOTE: Don’t consider attempting to hack me because my account name is totally different from my character name. Also, my password consists of an alphanumeric code and won’t be easy to crack. It makes no sense whatsoever. Also as I’ve mentioned in previous post, I have an extremely sophisticated firewall and I don’t download anything that may contain a key logger. I also virus scan my computer weekly.

Amazing… the predicted prices of the items on Endless-Online have actually gone up! However, some prices of items actually lowered, the prices of items are all over the place these days. There’s no precise reason for this either. Endless-Online is deemed “An economic failed,” by some of our players. The prices didn’t decrease like everyone expected them to do. This could be a turn for the worse for all the stat whore and newb categorized people out there. The casual class is, yet again, manipulating our pockets. Here are the newly introduced prices for the next week or so.

Lens – 150k-200k

Baruta – 150k-250k

X bow – 70k-80k

Bow – 25k-35k

Draco – 150k-200k

Dracota – 50k-100k

Saw Sword – 370k-420k

This is most of the prices for the “casually used” (items used by the “casual/rich” class) items on Endless-Online. Personally, I’m going to sell most of the items I have and wait for the prices of certain things to fall so I can buy those. I suggest you do the same. Although I may be apart of the casual class, but I won’t fall for their tricks. You shouldn’t either. Hope it was helpful.

Renaissance or Apocalypse?

It took a few days to get together, but I managed to gather some information on the rumored, “Eo Sweep.” Here’s the result of the data I’ve gathered.

It’s said that in v29 Arivd and Rexor are going to commence the “Eo Sweep” because they’ll have the new jail up and ready. It’s useless if they do it before v29’s new jail because the hackers/scammers that we all “love” will just escape. Rexor and Arvid are supposedly going to be on at the same time, and wreak havoc on all those cheaters. Here’s how it’s said to go, step by step:

1. Rexor and Arvid log on and head to all of the places people are compelled to cheat at. They’ll also actually “look” at the reports containing the names we’ve sent them for people who were cheating.

2. They’ll say something similar to, “Hey all you speeders/hackers make yourself at home in our new jail!”

3. Everyone on global will panic, bringing upon the Renaissance/Apocalypse (w/e it’s called) to Endless-Online.

4. Jailing left and right, “FREE blah-blah-blah” will be an often term heard on global, but the Administrators won’t care. No mercy.

5. I’ve calculated the amount of known/unknown speeders I’ve managed to come across while on Endless-Online. About 60 people’s names will come up on chat logs everywhere around the world saying they’ve been removed from the game –Arvid/Rexor [Jailed].

Are you afraid? Don’t be because, you won’t be alone. “If you’re one of these 60+ players, you’ll have that nice jail to rot in.” --- (heroicglory) --- quote from a player that apparently hates cheaters. No one knows if this will bring upon the Renaissance or the Apocalypse to Endless-Online. Here’s the view of what some creative players think what will happen. (Both stories, Renaissance and Apocalypse are shown below.)

Renaissance:

All speeders will rot in jail for a month straight; the time will only pass if they are online in the jail. They will no longer log in on their main characters, or all alternate accounts made with the same account name they used to create their main characters because those characters will be jailed as well, (all alternate characters created on the same account name are spawned to jail). Arvid and Rexor will bring the Golden Age to Endless-Online. Everything will change and no one will ever speed/scam/cheat again because the new jail will be too harsh for them to risk getting put into. The Renaissance has arrived, with no time to spare. Endless-Online is now the perfect game and its environment is just how the game makers intended…

This is the story four of our Eo citizens formulated with the common thought of Eo justice in mind.

Apocalypse:

Hell on Endless-Online. The Administrators’ jailing will be similar to unleashing 100 hell guardians in Aeven Square with all of the exits blocked. Few will survive. Half the population will be jailed, innocent people will be incarcerated as well. Innocent lives, ruined by the false accusation of cheating. Pretty soon, so many people will be jailed that the citizens will stop playing. Imagine your best friend being put in jail for an obscene amount of time, and on top of that he/she did nothing to be put there in the first place. Endless-Online will be a barren land of nothing but hurt players with desire to get revenge towards the Administrators for taking their lives/friends away from them. This, is the fall of Endless-Online. In the end Vult-r will eventually delete the game and move on with his life, for he never really cared about it in the first place.

This is a story designed by three Eo citizens that hate the way the Administrators handle Endless-Online.

Impermeable Prison

New Jail eh?

Rumor has it that Vult-r is going to install a new glitch-free jail that will hold all of those speeders/scammers. Below I’ve listed the pros and cons of this jail, enjoy. (This jail is rumored to come into effect, in version 29.) If you are interested in the suggestions your peers have “put on the table,” leave a comment, and I’ll try to get in touch with Vult-r.

Pros: (What it’s good for.)

-Puts cheaters away for good.

-Makes them think twice about doing it again.

-Humiliates them.

-Makes Eo an overall safer community.

Cons: (What it’s bad for.)

-Cheaters will leave their main accounts for the amount of time they’ll be jailed, and use alternate accounts to cheat/scam EVEN MORE to get back the items they had on their main accounts.

-Citizens that make fun of the players in jail might make the inmates angry and mess around and get hacked.

-If there truly is an “Eo-sweep” the jails might get crowded.

Suggestions:

I asked many citizens what they thought the new attributes to the jail should be, here are some of their good suggestions.

- The Administrators should assign you a designated amount of time that you need to serve in jail. They shouldn’t let you not be online and your jail sentence passing by as you watch TV, or go live life or something. They should make you PAY for your crime.

- They should shorten the amount of time you can be AFK (doing nothing) in jail. This will make sure that you are sitting at your computer watching citizens humiliate you as your sentence goes by.

- They should not allow you to do anything. Such as the following: Editing your paper doll, using public or private chat, and they should restrict your movements. This will scare other players from breaking the rules if they increase the harsh conditions of jail.

- All characters on the inmate's account should be spawned to jail. (Alts.)

Rumored “Eo Sweep.”

There’s a rumor going around about the admins doing a major clean up on Endless-Online crime. They’ll “sweep” rule breakers into jail and enhance their sentences. A more detailed post on the “Eo Sweep” will be coming soon. Stay tuned.

4 days with no access to a computer, and 3 days of data gathering. Go figure. The things I do for you guys… So, have you ever had a level 188 person in your group? Strange huh? Well I have some answers for that. Here’s the result of the data I gathered:

If you have a level 188 here’s what you have a possibility of happening to you, due to rumors:

-You might get hacked because this is supposed to be a glitch of a hacker invading your computer through entering your group on Eo. (Rumor)

-You may be jailed or walled because this is supposed an admin in your party spying on your actions and chats to determine if you are speeding/breaking the rules or not. (Rumor from a citizen that has actually experienced and been walled witnessing a level 188 in his party. He was in fact speeding.)

-A simple game glitch, in order to fix this all you have to do is log on and log off.

I asked 20 people if they ever experienced this “glitch” before. Here are the results.

4 said yes.

16 said no.

Out of those four people, each citizen said they got hacked, walled/jailed, or it was a simple game glitch. The fourth person said he got hacked, so 2 out of 4 people said they got hacked, that’s 50 percent.

So basically, in order to confirm it was a hack I had to use one of my “decoy” computers and play with the system a bit. I provoked the hack and had it happen to my “mule” account on my “decoy” computer. It in fact IS someone trying to hack you. Here’s a few ways to stop it once it’s already happened.

-Log out, if you can manage to do it fast enough.

-Leave the group, also if you can do it fast enough.

-It takes about 30 seconds to infect you so if you can’t log out or leave the group in time, UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER.

If you can manage to do any of these things before about 30 seconds you’re safe.

Basically to prevent this “188 mystery” from happening to you, you should never join unknown people’s groups, or basically piss someone off to the extent that they would want to do this sort of thing. Be careful.

Today's "beware" topic is going to be about trading accounts. Unlike some other MMORPGs in this game, selling accounts isn't exactly "black-market-material;" however, it is easy to be scammed. Here's the DO's and DON'T's of trust trades.

DON'T's:

-Don't fall for when the buyer or seller says something like, "Trust me, I won't scam you." Because 99 percent of the time. YOU WILL BE SCAMMED. Almost anyone will jump at the opportunity of taking an account without paying for it so don't be fooled.
-Do not ever go first, this is like putting the words, "Scam-Me" on your head. You are practically ASKING for it if you go first.
-Never tell the information to the account (if you are selling) because there may be another person in the group that will change the password, and they will stage it like you were the person that was scamming them.
-Never sell to known huge scammers on Eo. If you need help identifying them, Google "Picto's Black List."
-Beware of deals that are too good to be true because this WILL be a scam. 500k for a level 5 account with nothing on it is not a good deal, not even if it has a title. Be careful.

DO's

-ALWAYS use a middle-man. This is how a middle-man works. Trade a trusted player on Eo the required amount of money for the deal. Then have the other person give them the information to the account so that they can check and see if it works. Always have the other person Pm you from the account. Just to be sure. After they check to see if it works. Make sure the middle-man didn't change the password to the account, this has happened to me before. Once everything is checked, get the money (or whatever it is that the middle-man is holding for you) and have the middle man give the other player the information.
-Always be polite. If you piss off the middle-man or the buyer/seller they might scam you, in an attempt to teach you some manners. So be careful.
-Be open minded, don't have a one tracked mind. If all you concentrate is making money or selling the account, you're bound to get scammed. Good luck.

EO Newb Guide Vol. 1

Preface:

Welcome to the wonderful world of Endless Online. The more you play the game, the more things wrong you’ll find with that statement. EO is a terrible game when it comes to making money, leveling, making friends, etc, and it is even harder for those of you who are new players, or newbs/noobs.

For those of you who don’t know:

Newb – a person who starts the game in an effort to better him/her self and is, for the most part, a good player.

Noob – a person who has no idea what’s going on in the game nor cares about finding out about it unless it provides instant gratification like telling everyone ‘gold plz.’

There are a few guides out there that will tell you that, while in the newbie garden (aka the place you start the game), you should hold on to all the drops you get (goat horns, blob slimes, etc), and hold onto them to sell to the witch in the real world so you have some starting money. This is pretty good advice, but what about after that? There’s a whole new world to explore and items to get and people to meet.

I. Five ways to make money:

I’m putting this first because most of you probably won’t read past this and you’re dumb for doing so, but hey...have it your way.

1. Absolute desperation – No. Not begging. I’m talking about going around and picking up peasant clothes and selling them to the two shops in Aeven. These shops are located in the lower left corner next to the path that leads to the castle. Each suit can get you 3g each and if you want to waste a lot of time, you can make money this way by stripping down all your items and putting them in the bank and loading up on peasant clothes. You know that area with the mushrooms south of Centuar? If you go left from that area, there is a huge area of goats and usually tons of peasant outfits.

2. Selling item drops – This is the #1 way to make money in EO. The best thing you can possibly do is leave your chat screen on global while you’re training and see if someone needs what you have and message them to sell to them. Not only can you make more money than the witch will give you most of the time, but once in a while you might find a great deal on an item you really want. For example, I had ten orbs of light lying around one time and someone offered me 10k for all ten when normally you would never find someone to buy them (they’re used for the Lens of Truth, which aren’t made that often anymore). Another time I found an xbow for around 60k when they were selling for higher at that time.

3. Trading – Trading items is the #2 way to make money in EO, but I’ll have a separate section coming up in this post and on item drops so scroll down if you want to know more.

4. Making friends – Guess what? If you’re not a douchebag, people might loan you some money or items out of the goodness of their hearts. I know when I started the game, someone hooked me up with some armor and a little cash just because I was genuinely interested in playing the game and hanging out instead of being a stat whore. Begging for stuff is the #1 faux pas that will make people NOT want to give you something. I’ve noticed even now when I give stuff away to a nice newbie, other people will do the same to the person I’m helping out as well. They do this because they think you may be a nice person because someone decided to take you under their wing and get you started. Be warned though, some people are so devoid of any humanity that they will be your friend for a long time in an effort to scam you for items/cash later that they have no intention of returning. If you loan out anything of great value, make sure you know the person in real life so you can kick their ass if need be.

5. Crafting – Yes this does take a long time and yes you may not really get out of it what you put into it, but it is a way to make money…IF you’re smart about it. For example, lets imagine you craft a Warlock sword. You might get 1k for it if you’re looking to make a quick buck, or you might be able to sell it from 3-5k if you find someone REALLY desperate to finish that Ultima blade they’re working on. Basically, making money on EO takes loads and loads of patience, but it can be done.

II. First things first

1. Get some class - So you just made it to the ‘real world’ and you find that you’re getting your ass kicked by sheep? What the hell right? Well there’s a reason behind this. You have stats and regardless if you put them all in STR or not, you’re still going to be weak BECAUSE you need to change to a particular class. Don’t worry as this is NOT a serious decision (you can change it at any time and many people do to become multiclass and therefore quite powerful in later levels). I recommend becoming a warrior class and putting everything in STR (don’t worry about this either because you can reset your stats at anytime – more on this later). Now, for every 3 str you have, you gain 1-1 attack (as opposed to whatever crap you were hitting before as a non-class player). You can find out all the rules of class at the endless forum, which you can find on EO’s homepage (there is a sticky called players guide that explains most everything you need to know about that). Oh and by the way, in order to change your class you must find the wizard who roams around the center of Aeven. He wears a dark robe and you have to click on him and go to the class menu to change your class. Easy huh?

2. Get magic – running up to a sheep to find some prick just attacked it to lock in the kill? You can get spells early in the game to help you kill-lock your own monsters if you have 500g and know where to get to Anundo. First you have to go change your class to magician (you’ll find each class comes with its own stats so be sure to change to magician first before anything) and change your stats so that you meet the requirements for small fire or thunder. Oh, and while you’re at it, get small heal too for 100g (it helps a ton and is located in Aeven near the center on the left half and is also the same place you can reset your stats). 3. Get these items in this order (if possible):

Two Gold rings – can be had for around 100g each on the street or you can kill some foxes in the skyworld and get them yourself. This will greatly increase your HP.

Two golden elf bracelets – about 58g each in Hallowdale’s shop. These also give you vital stats.

Two leather bracers – don’t pay more than 50g or so for these from people, but these are a pretty common drop in Centaur and give you more good stats.

Leather gloves – Don’t pay more than about 100g for these because these are also dropped in Centaur and are a pretty easy find. I recommend you upgrade to either death gloves or iron gloves (same stats for either) when you find the time. You can craft them pretty easily and they give better stats than leather gloves.

Froghead – Costs on the street 100-1000 gold but it’s much easier to go and kill some frogs and get one yourself at the swamp near Estaq / Stronghold (Gives 1-1 attack and 5 accuracy and they are cursed so beware).

Normal arrows – costs 600g in Hallowdale (give 1-3 attack and 1 accuracy and you have to change your class to Archer to put them on, but you can change it back afterwards).

Skull Belt – costs 800g new in Aeven or around 500g used (gives 1 int and 1 wis so you can get self heal as well as buttloads of TP for magic).

Emerald Necklace – Costs 1000 in Aeven or 500-750 used (gives 1 STR and 10 HP).

4. Everything else is covered in the trading section.

III. Twelve places to level (from easiest to hardest)

1. Skyworld – Don’t bother keeping the blobs that the blobs drop unless you want to make a useless weapon or get small amounts of gold from the marble shop, but it’s a good place for the really low level people.

2. Swamp area – there’s lots of spiders, frogs, and snakes here for you lower levels and it’s right outside of Death Cave. If you go east, you’ll find mummies which drop an ingredient for death/iron gloves, and if you go even further east, you’ll find Wingos (all of which are good for early levels).

3. Porcupines – Another ‘early in the game’ area if you’re hurting for exp. and every place is being hogged (nobody comes here to train). This place is around the Stronghold / Swamp area.

4. Skeletons – just keep going straight past the porcupines and go down that flight of stairs to get here. Since a lot of higher level people come here, fewer lower level people come to train here. I don’t really recommend this place though.

5. Death Cave – The undeaths drop dark rags (needed for Ultima so you might make a good profit off them) and give ok experience. The Vyercils are really easy and give bad exp but they drop tentacles that you can sell to the witch for 50g.

6. Sheep – yes it sucks because they don’t drop anything, but they spawn really fast and people are less likely to hog spawn spots (although they still do).

7. Desert – If you’re feeling rambunctious and have magic, you might want to try killing some rocks. They’re easy, give 80 exp, and sometimes drop a few hundred gold. Be warned though, these spots are pretty popular. You can get there by way of Aeven Port.

8. Birdmen and Wolfmen forts – Due to the popularity of all the new areas, a lot of people have forgotten about these places. You can usually gain exp here without too many people bothering you (it’s located past Stronghold). Also, the wolfman fur sells for 50g I think to the witch.

9. Underground Fortress – the Orcs and the headless hunters spawn so fast here, most people couldn’t hog a single spot easily. The orcs drop ears that few people probably would want (but you can sell to the witch for a good price), and headless hunters give 50 exp. You probably shouldn’t come here early in the game though.

10. Carnivores – give good exp and drop leaves, which you can sell to the witch for 60g

11. First floor haunted house (easy if you have the recommended equipment and they give 50exp each – located in wingo area)

12. Quests – There’s a new mole quest that gives 2000 experience for killing 50 moles that I highly recommend (although it’s really popular and it’s usually really busy). Pjedro’s quest is good as well as the Castle Maze (make sure to talk to the ‘maze master’ before going in and look for a map of it before going into it or you WILL get lost and won’t be able to get out).

2. These are lower-level items you should seek out:

Weapons:

Dragon Blade – bad stats but is needed to make Ultima. Recommend: buy at 1k or lower and sell higher to a crafter.

Ultima – sells for around 14-18k street price now and gives you stats nearly as good as Twin Blade.

Red Bow – about 25k average street price right now, but it’s completely necessary if you want to fight other players for rare and expensive drops.

Bazaar – 10k or less on street prices now. This item will give you awesome int and wis so you can up your stats without having to use them up for magic.

Dark blade – 5-10k street price. Great stats and relatively inexpensive now.

Harp – if you craft it you can sell it for around 5-10k

Guitar – if you craft it you can sell it for around 10-20k

Armor:

Royal Suit – while you won’t make any money off it, it has better stats than most everything at the shops.

Elegant – this armor shouldn’t cost more than 1k street price (sometimes you can get it even cheaper) and it gives you really good stats for the price.

Dragon armor – has better stats than everything you can by at the store except Tebar (and is usually given away by people because it’s cheaper than elegant).

Soccery Armor – Ok stats and is a lot cheaper now than it used to be (estimated at around 5k).

Archery – Wonderful stats but costs around 20-25k street price (due to Oron).

Heavy Eloffe – Good stats and you might get it for around 5-10k street price (or cheaper).

Ketova – good stats and the creature that drops it (yeti) isn’t usually camped at except by newbies like yourself.

Conclusion

Everything else is pretty much up to your own discretion. Like I said, while you train, be sure to have Global open so you can snag deals and sales when you see them. People need all sorts of animal parts/other items all of the time and you may just be the person to make a small profit off their urgency.

Also one other piece of advice is to get on EO during weird hours to train and buy things. When EO isn’t busy at night and during school (around 1am – 4pm EST on a weekday) you can train easier and get great deals from people urgent to sell stuff due to the lack of people (possibly to seal a deal of their own). During the day and weekend is when to sell your item because that’s when all the richer folk / dumber people come on and want to make deals on what they ‘think’ the market value of everything is (it’s amazing how different the prices become between day and night).

And remember, don’t beg, be stupid, cheat (yea I know cheaters are ruining the game but they’ll fix it sometime), or go into the Player killer zone in the jail. It’s dominated by cheaters and if we all stop going in, then they fail to have any fun killing us with super speed.

New Admin In Town:

It’s ARVID, no it’s VULT-R, wait…Sakura? No! It’s REXOR! Strange, different, and sweeping up Eo. Rexor comes in and gets mid-evil with the walling, and the jailing on our fellow SS-ers. It’s too early in the game to determine if he’s a, “keeper,” but from his present performance. He sure as hell seems like one. All I can say now is keep the speeding to a minimum or just don’t do it at all and you probably won’t feel the wraith of Rexor. Some rumors are going around that Rexor is Vult-r’s son. Uh, Lol? Not true obviously. Check out the Endless-Online website and look at their profiles. There’s also a few rumors going around that Rexor is going to hold a turtle event soon. I extremely doubt this; however, it IS a possibility. Keep in mind, I’m just reporting what’s going around Endless, and I DON’T make this up. Here’s a couple of good characteristics that our fellow Eo citizens agree on. (Some of them.)

-Quick to work.

-Knows who to jail/wall.

-Doesn’t mess around. (Being the fact that he jailed a person named, “fckrexor.”)

-He reads global.

-He cares.

This is what about 23 Eo citizens agree on what Rexor is. Go figure? I’ll add a poll to find out what YOU think about Rexor.

Economic Social Class

It took me 3 days to assemble this data, and then one extra day to put it into an article. Forgive me if it took too long, but I only bring the best to this website.

Believe it or not there are 4 main Social Classes. I went around asking 90 Eo citizens what status class they considered themselves – ranging from levels 5-20. Here are the results:

Most people level 5-9 considered themselves to be a “Newb.” (They were required to answer truthfully.) 62 of the 90 citizens considered themselves to be a “Newb.” This is 68% of the population (in small scales). When asked how much the max about of gold they’ve had, the average amount was 63k. I did this type of poll in version 27, as I do in every new version and I get a different answer every time. Last version’s answer was an average of 17k. This has to do with the new amount of ways of acquiring cash. This also involves the attention span of these so called, “Newbs.” They can either sit around and beg for cash or try to earn it themselves. Which is faster?

Definition of “Newb” given by critics (Taken from, “The Gallery of Kara, definitions pl0x.”): A new player to a game, this type of player isn’t always familiar with the basics, and often makes simple, otherwise known as “Newb,” mistakes.

Common characteristics of this social class:

Often has the following:

- Empty ring slots.

- Weaker weapon.

- No boots.

- Weaker Armor.

- Begs for cash.

- Calls higher level players “Newbs” to make themselves feel better. (An opinion of a fellow player on global named, –anonymous.–

- Often tries to stop you with the letter, “U.” (Another opinion from the same player.)

- Types slowly. (Yet another opinion from a different player named, “xxyoutubexx.”

- Often hits low damage.

- Follows you around.

The second Economic Social Class is:

The “Stat Whore”

“Stat Whores” are characters that will wear anything, no matter how stupid or “overrated” it may look, for stats (Taken from, “The Gallery of Kara, definitions pl0x.”). Although this is a great thing to do, you have to be rich and careless to be this kind of person. Out of the 90 people I questioned, only 21 considered themselves to be a “Stat Whore.” This is 23 percent. Last version, 48 percent of the people I questioned considered themselves “Stat Whores.” This is probably because it costed less to be considered a “Stat Whore” last version.

Characteristics of a “Stat Whore:”

This version they wear the following items:

- Oron/Orona

- Frog Head/Helmet of Darkness

- Steel Boots

- Frost/Fire Arrows

- Scav Bow/X Bow/ Saw Sword

- Skull Belt

- Emerald Necklace

- Death Gloves/Iron Gloves

Last Version it used to be:

- Archery (Male/Female)

- TB/Lens/Bow/X bow

- Emerald Necklace

- Skull Belt

- Death Gloves/Iron Gloves

- Steel Boots

- Frog Head/Helmet of Darkness

- Normal Arrows

The third Economic Social Class is:

“Casual”

“Casual” is the type of person that buys and wears things on Eo simply for looks. These people often think they are “better than you” and are often very wealthy. (Taken from, “The Gallery of Kara, definitions pl0x.”) This person usually controls generally about 60 percent of the economic cash funding in Eo. What they buy, sell, and merchant is what makes the “Newbs,” “Olbies,” and “Stat Whores” follow. 6 of the 90 Eo citizens I questions considered themselves to be “Casual,” and often ranged from level 16-21. The percentage of “Casual” players on Eo is .06, there may be extremely few of them, but they control most of Eo. Last Version there was .02.

Characteristics of “Casual:”

“Casual” usually wears the following:

-Tuxido/Baru/Baruta/ (Anything that looks appealing to the typical 13-17 year old.)

-Boots that match their hair, or clothes.

-Fladdy Staff/Knob Staff/Lens

-Usually married to someone that looks just like them because they have enough cash you give cash to someone else to achieve social status.

-Often on global, attempting to gain renown.

-Often loitering in a specific area so that they can make that area known as “their spot.” (Or around Estaq Stronghold. “Where the cool cats hang. - WickidFrost”

-Often putting down other players. (“Stat Whores” do this too.)

-Often threatening to hack you in order to gain social status, in their eyes, fear equals social status.

-Often are AFK. (Or are pretending to be.)

-Often have alternate accounts.

The fourth and final Economic Social Class:

“Olbies”

An “Olbie” is a type of person that has been playing for at least 8 Version. This sums up to about 3-4 years. “Olbies” often have titles, which were gotten from the arena-bot, circa version 20, they may also have Costumes (such as a panda or turtle) from when the administrators, “used to care” about Eo. They used to hold many events and they moderated the game much more. (Taken from, “The Gallery of Kara, definitions pl0x.”)

The characteristics of “Olbies:”

- Often have titles.

- Often have costumes.

- Often have many friends.

- Often are on global.

- Often are wealthy.

- Often hang around Estaq Stronghold.

- Often don’t waste their time talking to anyone else because they consider us to be “Newbs.”

- Often are AFK.

- Often have alternate accounts.

An astonishing 1 person considered himself to be an “Olbie,” and this person had a title and a costume. Eventually titled accounts are rumored to disappear from Eo forever and when this happens the prices for these accounts will shoot up to about 8-9 million. Go figure.

Paypal, paypal, paypal... Some people say, "You have no life if you buy pixels with useful real life cash." But let's ask ourselves, is buying a video game from a store like "Best Buy" the same as buying "pixels" on Eo? Either way, you're buying pixels. What do you people think? Is paypal too risky?

I asked 40 people on Eo above level 7 if they would pay real life cash via paypal for Eo gold.

Every 30 Eo citizens out of 40 said they would, 8 said they wouldn't, and 2 said, "What's paypal."

Is this enough data to decide if paypal is a valid way to exchange real life cash with pixel cash? In the end, this all comes down to you. I don't choose sides like Wikky or other famous Eo bloggers. I project the voice of the Endless-Online citizens.

Fake Events

Fake event(s) just recently one of the most famous scammers on Eo (Approval) held a fake event. I went to get the story and this is how it goes.

According to Fallss, “He is a newb, I hate him, He can’t hack, and I’m not going to that “event.”” Apparently, she had the right idea. When we all went to the event expecting to pick up, “un-lore turtles” and other rare (non-existing) finds, he scrolled. Some famous players were there, vote, karagu, and many others. Many came out of curiosity, greed, or sheer stupidity.

This is what was going through Approval’s mind: “Fame, to be known, and to get the Admin’s attention.” Some people wonder why Vult-r doesn’t just ban his I.P. address. Maybe there’s a reason for Vult’s lack of cracking down on Eo crime. First here’s a little reminder: Please stop attempting to speed, because it just leads to the destruction of your account. People that are just crazily insane for cheats and “hax” eventually just have their account hacked. Ironic eh?

Fake events take place through all of Eo, and we have a name for these people. “Attention Whores.” It’s up to you to decide who these people are. I just report. Don’t shoot the messenger!

Inflation Production...

There's a rumor going around Eo that in order to attempt to save the economy from further damage, Vult-r is going to increase the drop rate of items in high demand (tenba bags, ice cubes, dragon wings, dragon claws, etc). By raising the items people need it will lower the request and need for them. This makes prices on the 'finished products' fall as the price of the ingredients fall. If this is true, I guess Vult-r IS trying to make an effort.

Sadly enough far too many people don't have enough respect/trust in Vult-r. Maybe it's for a reason, who knows.

Everyone keeps asking me, "How did you make this site? Did you do it on your own? HOW OLD ARE YOU?!"

Well for starters... I'm 16, (not in my 30's married w/ children) and yes, I made this site on my own. Why did I make this site? For fame? For fortune? To put-down Eo? Neither. I did it to project the voice of the Eo citizens. No matter how crappy this game gets, my love for it and all my friends on it will infect worldwide. I did it for you guys. I update this site every single day and I don't plan on stopping. I hope that you will enjoy my site and visit it as often as I update it.

Graphics:

Yep! I make my own pictures. Here's the trick. I take screenshots on Eo and I save them, copy them, and paste them on paint. Then I modify them to my liking. Once I do that, I copy it yet again to word so I can adjust the size of the image without ruining it's quality.

Ice radio/Eo radio?

Ice radio or Eo radio? For some odd reason, there’s gossip on the forums and global about a change of the fan-site/radio-site that is run by citizens of Eo. Some people are saying that the two controllers of the radio-site had a feud. One wanted complete power over the website, and one wasn’t going to accept that. So they split up and made two different websites. One is called Eo radio and one is called Ice radio. You figure… I’ll add a poll to the website so that you can decide which one you like(d) better.

In other news…

The Eo message boards are still jammed. People aren’t really putting “Loading message..” on the board. It actually really can’t load the message. Hopefully Vult-r will hurry and fix this soon. For all of you board users out there, wait a bit longer.

Guide to selling items...

“Oh my god, I’ve been in this bank for an hour and thirty minutes and I haven’t sold a thing!” --- dazzzed This is a quote from one of my fellow friends that got hacked recently. He said it about 2 days before his account was stolen and deleted. Some idiot was having a bad day and when dazzzed declined his offer he got mad and decided to hack dazzzed because he claims was sensing some “attitude” from him. Below, I have included a guide that will explain how to sell things when having difficulty.

Consider the buyer: First find out what you want to sell. Once you’ve done that find a reasonable price for it. Don’t just insanely inflate the price of the item because you want some kind of huge profit, consider the buyer. Example: If a Saw Sword is 350k and you try to sell for 420k that’s insane. You will not sell that sword; however, if you get lucky and find a desperate buyer who is buying for an outrageous price, you should sell it, but be on your guard because it may be too good to be true. It could just be some scammer aiming for your item(s).

Multitasking: Now after you’ve found a delectable price, follow these instructions:

1. Go to bank one with your sound ON and whispers ON. (Make sure interaction is on as well.)

2. Make sure you have at least 5 guild scrolls on you.

3. Find a good spot in the bank where people can view your message.

4. Bring up Microsoft Word. (Word pad…w/e you use.)

5. Type the message for what you are selling, highlight it, then press the control button and “X” at the same time. It should disappear because you just “cut” it. Bring back up EO and hold control and press “V” at the same time. Your message will come up. Press enter and you will say a message with very little effort. (Do not spam. Or else you will see this message, “Your mind prevents you from saying words…” or this message, “Flood protection.”) Once you can do this make sure your sound is on and use global chat to sell the item, as well as cutting and pasting in the bank. If you hear a sound that sounds like a pm, use a guild scroll to teleport to the guild house and find a nice quiet spot where you can read the message.

If your item is selling at a reasonable price you should find a buyer in no time at all.

Economics for the week:

There’s a rumor going around that the scav bow price is going to dramatically drop to an astonishing 500k. If this is true, then that means there’s going to be a lot more scavs going around. (May happen in a week.) This also means that all dragon dropped item prices will decrease as well. This includes the following:

Saw sword: - 150k-200k.
Draco/Dracota: - 100k/30k (in order)
Scav bow: - 500k

Note: I am NOT just trying to lower the price of items. I merely report rumors I think that the rest of eo should know.

ARENA GUIDE IS HERE!

Welcome to the ARENA! My favorite spot to have fun! In case you don’t know the arena can be located in the west-wing of the castle. There are four arenas, the big red one, the medium-sized blue one, and the two small 1v1 ones (my favorites).

Techniques: This is similar to life on the battle front. One mistake and you’re dead. So let’s try to avoid that shall we? Faking out: This is a simple and most used style of arena dueling. You can either move down then up again and face the square that your opponent would have walked to and hit control to punch them.

This is kind of hard to do, so read closely. Your opponent has to be three squares in front of you and you have to be fast. This works 90% of the time. In the proper position (noted above) move up one square and to the right two squares and press control and whichever direction they are in, unless they move down quickly, or know exactly what you’re going to do they’ll get, “owned.” Version 2: of Kara-kun K.O is below.

Version 2: Move up and to the right, depending on what they do if they move up it’s all over for them, (make sure you are the first person to take action) if they look like they’ll move forward take another step forward face down and attack. This game is about prediction, timing, and speed. Once you master these 3 techs. You’ll be unstoppable.

Survey on speeders...

Wow people, you won't believe this one. Statistics show that every 3 out of 5 experienced EO players know how or have speeded on EO before. This is ridiculous. I don't even think they know it's against the rules. This is a whopping 60%. That's over half of the experienced players on the blasted game. When I say experienced, I mean have played for at least 2 months. Ask yourself, are YOU one of the 60 percent? I'll add a poll on the website to see who does answer truthfully!

Places to level up

Crowded as always this is the community of EO. People speeding and competing for monsters, will this ever end? Below I'll list a few non-congested areas I like to train.

The entrance to bales: Deep within the new swamp just passed the beginning of tenbas is a spot where 3 bales spawn about every minute. Very good exp and no one is really ever here. Once again, it's at the beginning of Susan's map area.
Butterflies: Ever since V.28 butterflies haven't been as crowded as they originally were. This is a good thing. Since there's over-all less people here, there will be less speeders as well.
Flyman: Just before atlantis, there are monsters called flymen which are a decent source of exp.

My overall favorite place to train that I have numbered above is my special bale spot.

How to not get hacked/scammed

As you all know, hacking/scamming is a major “easy-to-do” in this game. Unfortunately, it isn’t as easy to avoid. There are, however; some ways that you can protect yourself. I’ll number them below.

1. Fire-wall. This is a must have for internet protection in general. This can stop most hackers in their tracks and leave them cursing and banging on their keyboard because they cant get through.

2. Weekly virus scans. Doesn’t have to be weekly, but you have to virus scan your computer from time to time. Anytime you get suspicious be sure to virus scam because you may have a key logger on your computer.

3. Change Password. Change password monthly or whenever you thinking someone may know your password. Never make your password too obvious.

Do these three simple things and I’m sure you won’t get hacked. Now back to scamming, to avoid being scammed, although this may seem strange when ever you’re in a trade offer whatever it is that you’re offering and repeatedly press accept once they offer whatever it is they are going to offer. This way, they won’t be able switch or anything like that. This is the best way to avoid scams because the pop-up will appear if they try to switch items. However, there is no known way to avoid being scammed by a speed trader. These people can someone create lag and use it to their advantage to switch offers at light speed and you won’t be able to notice what happened until after the trade. Always be on your guard.

Oh no! Another soul lost to hacking. Guys this is starting to become an issue. I’ve met three people in one day (new record) that have told me their account was lost to a hacker. This is irritating and degrading and what is Vult-r doing about it? You tell me. There’s some gossip going around that Vult-r started this game in college as a project and is starting to let it go. You decide. I’m just here to project the voice of the EO people. Here’s the gossip on how hacking is done.

I’m at ice golems trying to get a cube or two for some quick cash, and some guy calls another guy a newb. Then this high level guy steps in and says, “Define newb. I want one definition from each of you.” Of course, we all Lol’ed and passed it off to be a joke, but this thing is serious. Newbs make the world go ‘round on this game. Newb-ness is the foundation that our EO economy rests on. They ask questions and they raise concerns; I think we owe our success to the newbs of the past and the present.

Price inflation must die! 9/25/07

This shouldn’t be the first time you’ve heard this because if it is, you’re either new to the game, or you don’t pay attention to anything. Since earlier versions for many reasons prices are insane. Rising and falling, it appears to be an imitation of real life today. I’m not an “oldbie,” but I can say that I’ve seen a lot of changes in my EO life time. Born mid V.27, when TBs were 25k and male heros were just about 50k I’d like to say that this is ridiculous. There is no absolute reason why prices on random items are inflating, but I’m pretty sure that most of us don’t want to buy into it. Here’s how.

Someone says, “Selling rapier 120k,” then from nowhere, 6 other people start shouting that they’re buying or selling a rapier also for 120k; hoping that unsuspecting “newbs” will buy it. This is the number one way prices get inflated. Now, to avoid falling for this, trust your instincts and keep reading along. Don’t get excited and, since you have a rapier yourself, say “Selling rapier 120k also,” is a big no-no. This just adds to the mayhem.
Rich people are junking large amounts of items? This all falls into the category of duplicators and drop partiers. I’m sure you know that some people drop gold for the heck of it just because they’re rich. This is probably duplicated gold. Vult-r can’t get rid of it, what’s this talk about a roll-back? That would never have worked. If Vult-r did a roll-back that far back so many people would quit endless. Everything would be back to normal but this would have to be a “super roll-back.” He has the option of letting his admirers frolic in the duped gold with all of their current level ups and such, or rolling the server all the way back to the duplicated gold incident and fixing it then and there. So extremely rich people that really want to fix the economy to their personal interest are buying the rare items and junking them to make less of them in the EO world. If you ever see someone saying, “Buying all lenses Barus 300k each,” you know why.

This crazed economy has made the poor rich and the rich poor. People that bought Barus for 1.1mil can now only sell it for 300k. People before that however that had Baru when it was 20k, could have sold it for 1.1mil then bought it again when it was 300k. This is called patience and it is mandatory if you want to dominate this game in terms of riches. This site was made especially for you people of EO to know what’s going on. Not for personal guides or whatever, if you want that go to Wikky’s site, but Karagu’s site was constructed specifically for people out there who wonder about the status of the economy.
